If you’ve ever asked yourself that question, this course is for you. Our I.T. Fundamentals course is a quick introduction to the world of Information Technology and Computer Support. Students will be introduced to the hardware side by learning computer components and their functions and how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot them. The class will also touch on software installation and troubleshooting.
Completing this course will make students eligible for the CompTIA IT Fundamental Certification. This course can also count towards credits in our long-term Computer Support Specialist program.
Program Length- Six Weeks
Start Date- Round One: August 7th – September 15th. Round Two: November 6th to December 20th.
Time- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
Cost- This professional development course is offered free of charge, but priority enrollment is given to low-income students.
Employment- If desired, students are provided with individualized career support including assistance finding internships, job searching, developing résumés, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles, and preparing for interviews.
