Computer Support Specialist
The Takoda Institute’s accredited Computer Support Specialist program prepares graduates to work in entry-level technology support positions. Students will gain knowledge and skills in PC architecture, network security, desktop operating systems, and are prepared for CompTIA A+ and N+ certification.
Program Length- Nine months
Start Date- January 8th, 2017
Course Times- Course times vary, but take place primarily during the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday through Friday.
Financial Aid- Pell grants and scholarships fully cover books, tuition, and fees for qualifying students. Assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is provided.
Employment- Students are provided with individualized career support including assistance finding internships, job searching, developing résumés, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles, and preparing for interviews.
Career Information- According to the Minnesota Department of Employment & Economic Development, Computer User Support Specialists are the 14th most in-demand occupation in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and are paid an annual median wage of $52,377 (December, 2014).
Accreditation- Takoda’s Computer Support program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and is a WIOA certified training. The Takoda Institute is also a CompTIA certified training provider for A+ and N+.
